Nook Basketball Academy – Girls
A travel club program for junior players who want to take their game to the next level. The Academy gives players the opportunity to train and compete with athletes of their own level in an intense and professional environment.
Nook Girls Basketball Academy Tryouts
Nook Girls Basketball Academy offers year-round programming for all players in our state-of-the-art complex, which features 10 hardwood courts.
Times & Dates:
Current 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders:
Sunday, March 3rd 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Current 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders:
Sunday, March 3rd 3:00pm – 5:00pm
Location: Lancaster Mennonite High School
(2176 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602)
Tryout fee is $30.00 which includes both sessions and a Nook Sports T-shirt.

Nook Girls Basketball Academy
Nook Girls Basketball Academy will be one of the premiere basketball organizations in the region. With a focus on the personal and athletic development of our players, they will compete, but most importantly, succeed at all our levels of play. Nook Girls Basketball Academy focuses on the personal and athletic development of our student-athletes, and creates a safe, effective learning environment. Student-athletes will strive to achieve individual excellence within a team dynamic.
What We Do
At the Nook Girls Basketball Academy, we aspire to produce champions in basketball, and in life, by providing a competitive yet positive, safe and fun environment where each individual can Play, Train, and Compete. In conjunction with the development of specific basketball skills, we emphasize the importance of proper nutrition, fitness and conditioning so that our players can maximize their potential. For us, the basketball court is not only where we teach our players how to play the sport; it’s our classroom where we teach lessons of character, discipline, respect, responsibility, leadership, teamwork and the importance of sacrifice and sportsmanship.
Our Teams
All players receive an annual Spooky Nook Sports Youth Fitness Membership (a $228 value). An athletic trainer will be on site for all practices and home tournaments.
Nook Basketball Elite
U13-U18
Season: March-June/July
Training: 2 days per week
Training and preparation to play at the collegiate level
Advanced basketball specific and physical training techniques*
Sports nutrition seminar and guide*
Compete In Regional AAU Qualifiers
Participate in 5-7 weekend tournaments/scrimmages
Teambuilding sessions – rock climbing, Clip and Climb, etc.*
Uniform, practice jersey, practice shorts and shooting shirt included
COST: $775 (Does not include player travel or coaches hotel expenses)

Nook Basketball Black
U13-U18
Season: March-June/July

6th, 7th & 8th Grade
Compete in 3 weekend tournaments/scrimmages

COST: $350 (Does not include player travel expenses)
4th, 5th & 6th Grade
Compete in 3 weekend tournaments/scrimmages
Uniform, practice jersey and practice shorts included
COST: $299 (Does not include player travel expenses)
Payment plans are available. Work Program assistance may also be available for those families that need help with player fees.*
