Overview

BANQUET MANAGER

Overview
The banquet manager ensures the proper servicing of all banquet functions and event setup.
Duties
- Determines set-ups in conjunction with Conference Services Representatives.
- Coordinates functions with Service Staff, Captains, Chef, Beverage department and Set-up staff.
- Ensure guest satisfaction is achieved through effective supervision and delegation of functions, checks on food quality and courteous performance of entire banquet staff.

Overview
The child care staff member will be responsible for providing members with a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for children to play. Duties
- Assist and lead educational and fun activities each day.
- Provide consistent supervision with a focus on safety for the participants at all times. This includes abiding by all safety policies and regulations including Child Abuse Prevention standards, completing incident/accident reports, sign in/sign out procedures, tracking attendance.
- Meet and greet parents each day when they arrive. Create a working relationship with parents for the purpose of best serving their children. Learn and use the parent’s names.

Nook climbing will feature a free standing boulder, top roping and sport climbing. This opportunity is best suited for people who have experience in customer service and are accustomed to working in a face paced, high intensity environment. This position reports to the Adventure Area Director will collaborate with all applicable employees and customers of Spooky Nook Sports.
Duties
The Nook rock climbing instructors will be responsible for providing new and veteran climbers with a fun and safe climbing experience. You will have to help maintain the wall, give lessons and answer any and all climbing related questions that guests may have. More specifically, instructors are to:
- Greet guests
- Prep guests for climbing
- Describe available services and classes/lessons
- Belay for guests during scheduled “open climb” times
- Belay birthday parties (if needed)
- Wash climbing holds
- Maintain cleanliness of climbing area

Overview
To contribute to customer satisfaction through the preparation of high-quality food items in accordance with hotel standards. To maximize customer satisfaction, profitability through Food and Beverage service.
Duties
- Contribute to the production of food items in accordance with recipe cards and correct handling procedures.
- Maintain highest quality and appearance of all foods sent from kitchen and make sure plates are clean and appetizing.
- Maintain proper pars of production levels according to estimates on the productions sheets; maintain top quality freshness.

Duties
- Load, run and unload sinks and dish machine

Overview
Offer outstanding and positive customer service as well as supervise the strength and cardiovascular areas of the Fitness Center by providing safe and appropriate fitness information and instruction to Spooky Nook Sports members and guests. This position reports to the Director of Fitness Operations and will collaborate with all applicable employees, members and customers of Spooky Nook Sports.
Duties
- Welcome, assist and interact with members using the fitness center in order to create a positive and enjoyable workout experience
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and their relationship to the development of strength training programs
- Demonstrate for members the proper technique on how to use the cardiovascular and strength training equipment
- Conduct New Member Orientations/Fitness Assessments as required and follow up with members after initial orientation
- Test all cardiovascular and strength training equipment daily
- Perform daily, weekly, quarterly cleaning of cardiovascular and strength training equipment
- Provide a superior customer service experience through a professional relationship with members in regards to their needs, concerns, and questions about Spooky Nook Sports, its programs, and its mission
- Know and enforce all Fitness Center policies, procedures and rules in a consistent, fair and firm manner

Duties
- Officiates soccer games as assigned and enforces the rules of play.
- Keep official time on the field

- Maintains accurate time sheets and score cards and submits them to a designated supervisor in a timely manner.
- Communicates with coaches, players and staff and helps maintain order.
- Ability to see play with sufficient clarity to make calm, assertive and accurate decisions.
- Ability to work at least three (3) games in succession.
- Have the ability and awareness during play to not affect the run of play.
- Be able to be on the move for up to two miles per game for a minimum of three games in succession.
Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Should be literate in English, possessing the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions as well as posted schedules.
- Prior experience in officiating indoor and/or outdoor soccer games is desirable.
- Must pass written and oral exams on the rules of soccer.

GAMEROOM TECHNICIAN

Overveiw
We are currently seeking a Gameroom Technician to manage the electrical and mechanical aspects of the gameroom area inclusive of the latest video games, skill games, kiddie rides, sky tubes, register systems, coin and ticket mechanisms. This role performs daily preventative maintenance and repair of any items that must be fixed.
Duties

Overview

Overview
This position is responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, administration and budgeting of most or all of the Human Resources function, including but not limited to the following: employment, recruitment, employee relations, EEO, Visa process (H1B), compensation/benefits and organizational development. BIRTHYDAY PARTY CAPTAIN
Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Overview
The Birthday Party Captain, acting under the direction of the Party Coordinator and in tandem with department Managers, is the head of individual birthday parties. Party Captains will facilitate a memorable and great party atmosphere for the attendees by setting up the party, greeting guests, playing games, serving food, and breaking down parties. The Captain has the duty to insure each birthday child, family and participants have a memorable and unique experience while visiting Spooky Nook Sports. This person will report to the Birthday Party Coordinator.
Duties
- Follows details/script of the party agenda given by the Party Coordinator during pre-party briefing
- Confirm food orders, party scheduling and public session programming with Party Coordinator
- Sets up table decorations and party favors
- Assist in any area of preparation when needed
- Ensures party areas are clean and prepared in a timely manner before, during and after the party
- Greets parents, birthday person & children when they arrive. Shows family where their party will be held and explains timeline
- Give verbal instructions according to party agenda
- Plans and executes several birthday games to take place throughout the facility, as well as the party area according to party agenda
- Coordinate birthday group in a manner during the party ensuring everyone participates in all the scheduled activities with special attention given to the birthday child
- Ensure the party contact settles any remaining portion of their bill
- Ensure party rooms are cleaned and all tables and chairs are put away. This includes continuous clearing of the plates, cups, table ware and garbage during the party
- Clean up after party
- Ensures the highest level of customer service (i.e. record gift list, offer to take photos etc.)
- Ability to work in a team of Party Captains with direction from the party
- Coordinator to ensure an enjoyable and cohesive party experience
- Complete other duties as assigned

Overview
Responsible for conducting fitness orientations, assessments, and personal training sessions with members of the Spooky Nook Sports Fitness Center, through one-on-one and small group appointments. It is essential for Personal Trainers to design training programs, motivate, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and cultivate professional relationships with members. This position reports to the Director of Fitness Operations and will collaborate with all applicable employees and customers of Spooky Nook Sports.
Duties
- Welcome, assist, and interact with members and guests using the fitness center in order to create a positive and enjoyable workout experience
- Demonstrate for members the proper technique on how to use the cardiovascular and strength training equipment
- Conduct client interviews and council members on exercise recommendations based on fitness evaluations as well as members’ needs and goals
- Design and implement custom, one-on-one/small group training programs for members
- Provide a high degree of member service through professional relationships with members and guests in regards to their needs, concerns, and questions about Spooky Nook Sports, its program and its mission
- Ensure proper use of all equipment and safety of members and guests
- Knowledge of all Spooky Nook Sports policies, programs and fitness initiatives
- Conduct New orientations and assessments
- Educate members on fitness and training related topics
- Demonstrate and coach members on the proper use of cardiovascular and strength equipment as well as safe technique and form when training

SOCCER COACH
Overview
Through utilization of a ‘player centered approach’, the coach is to ensure that the highest standards of coaching and player care are delivered. The coach must exhibit commitment to delivering a high quality product consistently, while portraying a professionalism expected within Spooky Nook Sports.
Duties
- Prepare and carry out practice sessions both indoor and outdoor.
- Punctually attend all sessions, clinics and/or camps organized and run by Spooky Nook Sports
- Communicate regularly with colleagues, facility staff, volunteer coaches, parents and players with regards to all issues relevant to the sessions being run.
- Report and communicate regularly with the Director of Soccer Operations
- Conduct player evaluations as required, at appropriate times throughout the season/s
- Ensure equipment is well maintained and facility is kept clean
- Attend staff meetings as required
Qualifications
- Possess a thorough understanding of the game, both indoor and outdoor
- Must be highly organized and punctual
- Physically fit and able to demonstrate skills effectively
- Understand the TEAM concept
- Must be knowledgeable of the rules of ‘Futsal’ as well as outdoor soccer rules
- Must be certified to coach through ‘US Futsal’
- Must have the ability to project excellent sportsmanship skills
- Must possess a love for game and a love of working with children
- Criminal background check and PA child abuse clearance required
- Prior coaching experience and/or have participated at collegiate /HS varsity level
- Should have governing body (US Futsal, US Soccer, NSCAA), Coaching certifications/qualifications or be willing to complete them within 1 year of employment.

SPORTS MANAGEMENT INTERN
Overview
The Sports Management Intern will assist the Director of Sports Programming and individual sports directors with the planning and execution of all Nook Sports programming including leagues, tournaments, clinics and camps. The Sports Management Intern will assist in field and event site set-up and tear-down, equipment management, and event operation support. Sports Management Interns will receive hands on experience in all aspects of event management. For intern to receive an overall snapshot and better understanding of the entire Sports Programming Department, which includes league development, registration processes, scheduling, event set-up and tear-down, inventory management, rules administration, programming copy and other administrative duties. The goal is to gain a better understanding of the professional business world, sports management and business curriculum applications, and greater knowledge of the sports industry.
Duties
- Help prepare and distribute weekly drop-in promo reports.
- Help manage the registration process for programs and events.
- Provide aid to the inventory process, maintenance and storage of equipment.
- Coordinate program specific correspondence with staff, coaches, volunteers, and clients.
- Help with developing content and scheduling for the 2013 Nook Sports Program Guide.
- Assist in execution of all out of office events, promotions, and clinics.
- Research and generate proposals for new events ideas and recommendations.
- Assist sports programming with other general initiatives/programs/events.
- Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Ideal candidates will be available to work 35 hours a week. Marketing, Sports Management, Communications or Business majors are preferred.
- Must be college graduate or currently enrolled in college and working towards a two year, four year or graduate degree. College credit is based on individual school policy; it is not required for the program
- Student Associates may work a minimum of a 21 hour work week and a maximum 35 hour work week.

1. Master Coach Positions
Spooky Nook Volleyball Club juniors program is searching for Master Coaches for the 2012-2013 season (club tryouts are in November and the season runs through June). These opportunities are crafted for the more experienced personnel, preferably either with prior club coaching or with a high school or collegiate volleyball level of coaching or collegiate level of playing. The positions will be utilized to specifically address player development, coaching development, strategies and drills for an entire age group. Very hands on with team improvement and provides support and leadership for all coaches within age group. If desired, this position is also available in connection with coaching a Spooky Nook Volleyball Club Team.
2. Coaches
Spooky Nook Volleyball Club juniors program is searching for coaches for the 2012-2013 season (club tryouts are in November and the season runs through June). This is a great way to get more experience with coaching volleyball, work with and teach a group of eager volleyball players. High school Coaching and or Collegiate Players preferred.

VOLUNTEER YOUTH NFL FLAG FOOTBALL COACH

Overview
Spooky Nook Sports is looking for part-time volunteer flag football coaches to prepare children and youth student athletes to participate in flag football games. Coaching positions are available for NFL Flag Divisions U6, U8, U10, U12, and U14.
Duties
- Support and interact will all program participants
- Preside over team activities including scheduled practices and games
- Responsible for team and program equipment
- Educate, teach, and coach individuals or groups emphasizing football skill development, technique, strategy, safety, fair play, sportsmanship and fun
- Ensure equal playing time and involvement of all participants
- Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit
- Maintain knowledge of football rules and strategy
- Act as a league or program representative by supporting referees and league or program leadership
